Look deep, deep-
deep into my soul,
what you see will shatter you, for
it is a sea of emotions that exist there,
a forever sadness weeps.
And from each bleeding scar,
chains of lead are holding me prisoner.
Why does all this grief come unbidden?
O, weather-stained is my soul,
a ravaged garden my past.
This eternal grief and sorrow haunts me, and
cuts deep into paper white, because
amongst grief and weeping, a poet was born,
and she writes with her bleeding pen-
