Listen To My Story They Whisper
it's dark in here
not a muscle moved
i've been warned
I focus on the walls
shadows passing by
sending out their calls
scared as a fish
i'm next on the list
lots have done wrong
cause that list is way long
the shadows create shapes
telling their stories
I listen because
my life could be at sake
a reason or a purpose
please! open all curtains
but I want to listen
to all words the rephrase
because they listen
to all words I say
to my self being
hopes aren't high
hope I stay alive
"don't be scared"
they whisper
"just listen to my story
and your life wouldn't be ending
listen to my story"
they whispered to my ear
the crack of dawn is when they reappear
"listen to my story
or i'll be back"
i'm warned once again
they're testing me
whispering and staring
at the edge of my bed
scared as a fish
i'm next on the list
lots have done wrong
cause that is way long
i listen evey night
shadow after shadow
keeps passing by
more sad the stories get
"listen to my story"
they whisper
they won't leave
until their story is told
they won't leave
until you get old
the words they say
widen my eyes
opens my heart
to an unseen life
I hope you understand
my story I whisper to you
if you have not yet realized
what i've said
I'll be sure to come back again
"listen to my story"
I whisper
