Limerick: An Invasion by the Maimed, Tamed and the Lame An invasion by the Maimed, Tamed and the Lame Is still an invasion by any other name “She stoops to conquer!” Hearths freeze in fire Better life for theirs is the name of the game. © T. Wignesan – Paris, 2015

Short, to the point, and most interesting lines; "She stoops to conquer..."

Thanks very much, Liz-Iris. Hope you don't mind the abbreviation. I'm certain you know where I lifted the line you singled out. If I might venture a "prophecy", the Cologne "atentats à la pudeur" is only a precursor - why the line has some significance in the limerick. Still, I'd go for the last line; for everybody has a right to escape tyranny and torture.

Thanks very much, Miraj Raha. Pleased you thought so, but could you, please, let me have the "meaning" in as so many words as it takes to divulge. Just curious! Every good wish.
