Like Sand Into the Sea

I don’t want you to slip away Those words, once said to me As I approached my moving day A dear friend made this plea And though with every sweet intent Of always keeping touch I feared intentions would relent It proved to be as such I know, I’ve tried to do my part To keep my treasured friends But life, like affairs of the heart Does not, what it intends And so, I forgive those I’ve lost And hope they forgive me As sometimes, we just slip away Like sand into the sea

Very true, in fact many times we slip away like sand into the sea... the important thing is not to let it happen, to never be forgotten..
