Let's Go To the Park

Remember that time she told me exactly how she felt? You just sat there quietly as the cards were being dealt. I used gravity to hold back tears as that song about the park played. Meditating on how dents in my heart had already been made. When it seemed that she was finished and our friendship was on the brink, I went into the washroom and rung my tears out in the sink. The three of us walked out into the parking lot. Kinda felt like old times, but it definitely was not. I watched her talking on the phone looking confident and bold, You looked through me so deeply and said to you I was like gold. I asked you why, but you never had the chance to say. How can I stay close to you when she keeps pushing me away?
