Leaves
Leaf
falls to
chilly ground
thinking back on
summer days so fine.
On broken stones it lies,
awaiting dear friends to come.
With grace they lie on each other,
clad in autumn’s bright saffron death robes,
dressed at their best in the fall fashion shroud.
