Lead Me, My God
Lead me, my God, to Your dear heart
Where Your love’s bliss cannot depart.
There I find peace, joy, contentment
Reigning along mercy’s beauty
Reaching out midst Your grace-bounty
Along Your pardon’s fulfillment.
Draw me near Your presence always
To worship You with prayer-rays
Confessing sins and guilt’s ailment
Gripped by faith, secured in Your might
Thru Your Word’s light toward truth’s height…
Thank You for this divine moment!
Lead me, my God, to Your dear heart
That’s my plight right from the start.
As I win others to Your side
Your Gospel, with fervor I share
Telling them that You really care
You’re the Savior, Teacher and Guide.
Help me serve You thru my neighbors
To show kindness of good favors
Devoid of selfishness and pride.
Now, I give You all the praises
While my life Your greatness blesses…
Inside Your will where I abide!
Now, in Your heart, I breathe life’s gift…
My soul throbs thru Your precious blood.
Redeemed*, I’m bound for heaven’s lift!
*Lamentations 3:58 O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.
