Last Letter
Your message I found drifting along the open sea
a bottle swaying and bouncing headed toward me
reaching with opened arms your words touched me
for they were the last to follow along our open sea.
Written before death found among an empty room
These words of love read above your now filled tomb
written when life gave us our breath of harmony
Spoken with somber thought’s these mysteries of love
A one way conversation without a chance to replay
Words upon parchment with the ink barley dry
Your last sounds only heard through my voice as I read,
Never forget our love and I will remember to wait,
Up above.
