Pelican landing- webbed feet reach for the deck –wings retract - land lubber.

Thanks Paul: Pelicans are quite partial to French fries. Lol at least on the beaches in Australia. People line up at the snack booth to by them and the Pelicans line up to be fed.....very bold at times. Hugs, SuZ

I liked your interpretation of the pelican that secretly doesn't care much for the sea (or the sky) ... too bad it was too late for my contest, but a good monoku nonetheless.

Glad you liked it Tim: I will eventually get the picture in here too. Great shot you took. These pelicans can be very entertaining on the piers.
