Lace and Ribbons

Lace and ribbons They can come with misgivings Of the stone cold emotions Of love And when you're in it You know it's sent from above You're lucky and free And wonder how this could Happen to me Sometimes love can blind you So you can't see It's happened to many It's happened to me I lost the one I know down so deep With who I was meant to be And the reminder Of all that's dear Is so painful to go through You love them so damn much It hurts you down to your core Emotions swirl around you And from you're heart they pour But I would never give Up the moments I spent with him I still have those And they are no longer dim They are just as beautiful to me As a little girl with ribbons in her hair Or as the wind blowing through the window With curtains made from lace Sure some days I don't want to face To speak of all the misgivings that take place In every ones lives There will always be lace and ribbons
