how sweet the sound that gently resonates clear to my heart we’ll hang up it’s late and go to bed you to yours and I to mine still how sweet the sound of ‘let’s go to bed’ there’s a togetherness to it that’s comforting so me and that togetherness head off to bed feeling infinitely less alone and somehow it’s not that scary this togetherness that feels so right on one hand yet quasi insane on the other till the real question surfaces how can a widow love the widower? two shattered hearts rescuing each other in the night how does… a widow love a widower? united in their grief yet their stories all so different till a simple ‘let’s go to bed’ brings comfort to each other and we are through the darkness not alone AP: 3rd place 2022 Posted on November 2, 2021
