We all have our own beliefs and opinions as to why or why not we should or shouldn't get our vaccines. I simply wrote this because of how messed up this world is in these times we are now living in. Why some people lie, why some preach, and why some people want to end their god-given lives. Such a shame.

I went into the market... to buy myself a steak I started talking to this downed-out man... as he was on his break He told me about his troubles... he told me about his wife He told me he wanted to kill himself... that he wanted to end his life But I really didn't know him well... and I guess I wouldn't mind But for the reasons he wanted to kill himself... That just blows my mind Then I was listening on the radio... to some loud-mouth preacher man I couldn't understand some words he said... but he was talking about the man That holy-rolling long-haired man... that died up on the cross Then the preacher started babbling on... and I felt kind of lost When he asked me for my money... I was in a bind Cause when I saw him in his Mercedes Benz... well, that just kind of blew my mind Then I laid down on my bed last night... to get myself a snooze I saw some politician scrub... lying about some news He said that he got vaccinated... because he just wanted to keep his job But that son-of-a- never got his shots... Nor did his co-worker Bob So, I had to change the channel... before I started to unwind Damn, these messed up times that we live in now... Well, it just blows my mind

A wonderful poem Charles. As sad as it is... This is the messed up world we live in. I tend not to listen to the news anymore as it's just too depressing. Cheers Anne :-)

This is so so good... Charles!!! So many people suffering from depression hitting all walks of life... even people who have it all, money, prestige ending their lives. Those so called spiritual people asking for donations going to their own pockets, making themselves rich and yes the liars... with no shame.

I like your poem, Charles. It's exactly how I feel so much of the time these days. By the way, I got my booster shot yesterday, so I've been a bit achy today, but am coming around to normal quickly.

Hoorah for you! I felt a bit under the weather this morning when I first work up, but by mid-afternoon I was back to normal. I felt I really needed to gt it before my trip to Mexico. Now, I feel completely protected, but I'll still wear a mask when it is prudent!
