In the Echoes of Darkness

in the echoes on the corridors of darkness i listen to the wind strumming bare twigs on restless trees beneath the fullness of this moon i sit solo fingers gently twirling my hair deep in thoughts of you shadows are gently swaying in moon beams reflected on the creek i watch their silhouettes slowly become us dancing on this stage momentarily aglow my heart beats in quickened tones as the pulse of night fades within the silence of dreams

Thank you so much John...i am out observing nature much of the day for work so it's easy to be inspired...i had to coax my muse to write this one though, she was silent for over 30 hours...i don't want another 3 year block... hugs :)

Absolutely gorgeous. To sit among'st nature and watch the changing scenery while dreaming of that special someone is such a wonderful moment to envision. This poem touched me deeply and like all of your poetry, it is one I wish I had written. Beautifully done my friend.

Solo dreams beautifully captured, Sandy: wind strumming bare twigs on restless trees--as the pulse of night fades within the silence of dreams. Excellent poetry, as always my friend.

Those 'silhouettes becoming us' … 'dancing on this stage' -- such a rapid rise upward from those 'dark corridors.' Superb! Non-wintry wishes! ~ Gershon

Thank you so much Gershon... my muse has been writing some softer tones so you don't have to feel the winter through my words...i know how my deeper poems can leave one chilled :) hugs

Hi Sandra. A lovely piece you have here. It reminded me of my wife. She always twirls her hair when she is nervous. Its a habit but I must say she looks beautiful doing it. Thanks for sharing
