I have reread the rules and found that I was supposed to use only five tercets for this challenge, so I took off the first stanza, which pertained to my last born sister. She is actually my half-sister, Theadora. We share the same mother but different father. The other girls are my full sisters, same mom and dad. Here is the beginning stanza I took off, which I will add back in later:

The fifth, strong-willed, works steadfastly.
She braves life’s trials and much stress
so family might have success.

A big thanks to Connie Marcum Wong, for creating this charming poetry form for the world!

The fourth one looks and laughs like me. She’s well-informed and takes delight in trying hard to do what’s right. The third can offer sympathy. Despite her woes, she’s so much fun - so sweet she dazzles everyone. The second shows forth charity. A little shy, she’s fond of songs. Near warmth of hearth this one belongs. The first born, I like spreading glee. For peace and happiness I strive, while writing keeps me most alive! Jewels in Mother’s crown are we, and traits we share, reflections of the gem most brilliant – Mother’s love. The fourth one looks and laughs like me. The third can offer sympathy. The second shows forth charity. The first born, I like spreading glee. *Jewels in Mother’s crown are we. Nov. 25, 2017 for the Constanza contest of Craig Cornish *This line I prefer that it would read: All Jewels in Mother's crown are we because I pronounce Jewels as one syllable "jools" but howmanysyllables.com puts that line at 9 syllables unless I drop the word "all" (sigh)

Your mum must be proud of all of you, Andrea! Reading this brought back to mind the picture of her when she came to stay with you over a year ago. ~ Congratulations on this fine win. Now you'll have to give your sisters a copy of this:) Regards // paul

Wow I am sure Connie would give you a massive thumbs up for writing the poem to her rhyming specification:-) Makes me so glad I didn't bother writing for the contest Andrea and as for the pronunciation I also say jewels with one syllable.:-) hugs jan xx

No, it's all true, John. There are also two stepbrothers and a stepsister but this worked perfectly for the biological remnants of my mother!!

The first one is also a queen... this is brilliant. I love your theme and how you exprrssed it... you all are jewels and beautiful representatives of your mother...
