In Love's Shadow
There is peace in my heart
as I gaze into the fire embers
room full of shadows that sway
as the final flame flickers.
It is now in the quiet of night
as the rest of the world sleeps
that you come to me; again, we love
sharing times past we lay together.
In shadow time the veils fall away.
Once more our world's touch.
Again we are together in spirit,
now living in the shadow of love.
Yet always the shadows beckon,
enticing me, exciting me, pulling
ever deeper into their depths
and as I slumber we are reunited.
