Paul, memories have an amazing habit of clinging to surfaces inside and outside one's mind - like fragrance. It can entice you with nostalgic pleasure or sadness.. you words are as alluring as my favorite perfume and they tell a stirring emotional story. Lovely passionate imagery of emotional reverie.. warmest wishes sweet friend.. ~Susan

So true, Susan...memories, scents and music linger on, even for a lifetime! In this case the perfume connects the 'she' & 'me'. I wonder what that favourite perfume is...:) Thank you for your pleasurable comments. ~ Warm regards // paul

Good Morning Paul. The Lanterne is in true form. It never gets enough credit. Its a marvelous format to work with. Your theme and words make it come alive. How true of your words. And yes, its the same in reverse. Your poetic expression is marvelous. All is well entirely and completely. Enjoy the morning and day.

I sure wish they would do more of the old style contests and not the limited list where people often choose even fewer than ten winners!!

Hi Andrea...I already replied to this comment earlier in the day, but now it's all blank! ~ Having more winners on the list offers writers more exposure, but too many winners can also have its disadvantages. Regards // paul

Your words speak in an elusive abstract voice that supplies the catalyst to spark further thought, like the crying strings of a sad violin, Emile.

A beautiful sentiment brought to life in your Lanterne Paul - It's so strange how our mind goes straight back into it's memory bank when a fragrance wafts through or when it hears music that related to a happy situation long past. A big 7 - hope you enter it for the contest
