In Autumn Dreams
In autumn dreams, I see your face aglow
You’re by my side; we’re lying in the leaves
Your warmth transcends the chilly winds that blow
And then I wake to know that my heart grieves
You’re by my side; we’re lying in the leaves
A golden sun is listening to our love
And then I wake to know that my heart grieves
I’m all alone, a hand without a glove
A golden sun is listening to our love
Yet just in dreams, can you still be with me?
I’m all alone, a hand without a glove
And just in thoughts can your face, I still see
Yet just in dreams can you still be with me
I wake to find I’m in an empty bed
And just in thoughts can your face, I still see
I hear your whispered secrets in my head
You’re by my side; we’re lying in the leaves
Your warmth transcends the chilly winds that blow
A golden sun is listening to our love
In autumn dreams, I see your face aglow
