Is this all there is - is it enough? If this is as good as it gets I would not change a thing Much better than it was. My world has meaning - it used to be a blank I spent half my life wanting more, never content Looking for missing pieces in order to feel complete If given a choice of a perfect world I would stay exactly where I am My life is not perfect by far It is so much more than I deserve I would continue to be thankful and give back what I can I do not have to have all the answers Regardless of situations, I am given the tools I need Because I am human, a perfect world is not for me Written 2-14-2016 In A Perfect World Contest by Catie Lindsey Free Verse Form Honorable Mention

Greetings, Susan. Congratulations on your win in Cathy's contest A Perfect World. We are not perfect, but we can try to reach perfection in ways that may be still unattainable. Only God is perfect. I have enjoyed reading your poem that portrays who you are and the things you can accomplish. It's an excellent write by all means. Thank you for your kind comments. Best Wishes, Andrew.

I'm with you, Susan, a perfect world was impossible from shortly after the creation of it...mankind has no such capabilities and when Satan was sent to earth, that cinched it, perfection was beyond the scope. But that doesn't stop us from trying to make our worlds better and better. Thanks for sharing a hopeful piece.
