impromptu

losing my sight
glasses broken
reading the dice
snake eyes

I've realized
the roll
the role
i'm to play

so i'd occupy
a lesser ride
into the depths
i except

she's no longer
there to pacify
but i won't cry
for all this i knew

strewn before me
cast like a net
a fisher's man get
i am included

deep inside
her eyes i
see another
forgotten

i forgive
yet let
live
my salvation

an angel
not she
never to be
either

but at last
the catch
pulled
netted in

again i flip
and flap
perhaps
to escape

but what
does it take
to not be me
caught in a net

the catch
commodity
fresh fish
but me

thrown aside
for waste
for chum
then some

from the cielo
turned to jello
a form
not taken

shaking
awake
 i learn
discerning

was it you
was it me
was it we
that saved me
