If This Seems Stupid, It Really Is

If This Seems Stupid, It Really Is There’s a shooter in the hall But no one cares You have our prayers Best thoughts to you all. It looks like he’s entered a classroom You’ll all be fine Those kids aren’t mine We’re not the ones facing doom. Someone said he’s shooting now I just can’t feel Doesn’t seem real Still my head is bowed. Thoughts and prayers are sent again Some kids died And others lied After all, they’re kids, not men. absolutely heartbreaking imagery David, there are no words that can be said but something needs to be done to stop these tragedies:-( hugs jan xx

Thanks for the kinds words. My poem, Guns or Prayer, was written right after the High Schoo shooting in Florida, and it touches on the same subject. Maybe if enough words are written, we can make a difference.
