If I Were Your Love
If I were your love, I would adore you,
making every day your happiest day.
And I would make all of your dreams come true,
coaxing your inner child to come and play.
You'd experience a life full of joy
for I would never treat you like a toy,
and the whole world would be yours to enjoy.
You'd never fear the dark; I'd be your light,
you'd never lose your way; I'd be your sight,
and in your fantasies, your shining knight.
You'd feel a love felt only by a few
for I'd listen to every word you say
feeling that I was blessed to be your boy
and we’d laugh and cuddle tight every night.
