I Will Never Understand

I see things on the media, I don't understand. Things happening in this world. Things that I cannot figure out. Why people do such horrendous things to each other on a daily basis. I am perplexed by it all. This planet is so rich in natural resources. It should be a joy just to be alive but it isn't. Millions of folk are not living, they are surviving. I don't understand. Such a beautiful planet made ugly by war. Such a fertile planet made ugly by famine. Such is the nature of a few to destroy many As long as I live, I will never understand © Dave Timperley 15 October 2016

Dave,I agree with you the whole world should be at peace. There should not be wars.Too many people suffering going on.Little children should not suffer and they do and that makes me sad. Lots of truth in your poetry.
