I Was Wrong

You looked at me and told me I was wrong Everything I did was not good enough Over and over I heard that same song Hearing that message can be really tough I started to believe the words you said Everything I did was not good enough Things changed when to the bible I was led It helped me see myself in a new light I no longer believed the words you said God loves me I'm not a child of the night I now see myself through my Savior's eyes It helped me see myself in a new light You have your own problems I realize Possibly one day you will understand I now see myself through my Savior's eyes Thankfully no longer under your command Possibly one day you will understand You looked at me and told me I was wrong Over and over I heard that same song

This is very deep and touched me in many ways..It goes to my favs...Btw..tnks for your last connents..always so kind..Re Drake s comment..Yep I do write what I feel at that time..and sometimes I might make it to read all poems by each poet friend but when I visit I want to make sure to feel his her pulse in the poem ..then write my simple thoughts.Excellent poem here.

Hi dear friend..this poem touched my heart and soul..It so painful when someone critisize us over and over again..Definitely a mental abuse..a fine sharp type of bullying which takes time to heal If We ever make it to get out of that trap.Then the end of your poem so positive..Our father in heaven who loves us for who we are..Who shows us how special We are cause We are his very own beings..nd yes We our all special in our own ways.and if people in the past failed to recognize it..Its their loss

Now this one was a real fun to read..( I am not being sarcastic ) I remember how one of my friend use to complain about everything. ..few people are never satisfied with what they have....I enjoyed reading this..Richard ! Richard !

At times like this indignation just threatens to take control...Wish I could say it was the righteous kind, but it isn't...HOW? How could someone belittle and say those things to you? Indeed. I used to date a girl like this. The type to miss you just as much as she would wait for you to fail. Piercing criticims was her way of getting off. Pitiful, really. That said, there is a reason Karma exists...beautiful & poignant writing, Richard.
