I Once Believed

I once believed I once believed the rising sun would glaze the sky in wondrous scenes Of pink champagne a morning blend with apricots and tangerines The day would bring a gentle kiss of breezes soft with jasmine scent As flowers bloom and robins sing melodically of moments spent An evening sky would dazzle bright of shimmered stars and moonlit shine That we would sit alone each night so much in love and you were mine Though now I see just cloudy days as rain drops fall midst sorrow weaved Since you are gone they fade from sight those wondrous things I once believed

I don't have many words my friend. Just that it is a beautiful poem, and it flows so naturally, as all of your poems.

This pen sinks as I read it, I can physically feel it. Heavy and dead in my gut.
