I Never Listened To a Word They Said
This is just a little dinner for two
A single helping split between me and you
A quaff of wine, a candle's burning hue
I never listened to a word they said
I never listened to a word they said
Oh how I've found ways to love you
Ways I never even dreamed I'd know
Or shores I'd sail for to find the dreams I'd know.
Oh how I know now what I never knew before
Never knew what I had in store
Or a feeling like this that could endure
I never listened to a word they said
I never listened to a word they said
I never listened to a word they said
