I Never Failed!
When should I admit failure?
The first, or last time?
My drum beats a pure heart
It’s constant rhythms, painful failure
Rising above a thousand failures
Times a thousand defeats
If my dreams; visions, hope, words
Or just cause came from selfishness
Instead of a selflessness cause
I would graciously accept failure
Yet, if I weren’t gracious
With just cause, honor and integrity
I wouldn’t have failed!
A harsh chastening of too many failures
Rises my victory, to the glorious prize
Giving the gift of purpose
In the end, failures prove
The victory of, I never failed!
