I Need You Now, Even More

I need you now, even more I remember the day we met, How could I ever forget, the smile, that you gave to me We talked together for hours, on our very first date, it seemed like we were meant to be Now five years have passed so fast, you tell me our love won't last, I try to pick myself... off the floor Chorus Don't you know baby, That I.........need you I need you now even more, oh yeah, I ....need you, I need you now, even more Now I wake up without you always thinking about you hoping that you're doing fine Bridge I talk to myself, because you're not here, I'm just sitting here... doing time Another year's come and gone don't know if I can move on too many steps to the door Chorus Don't you know baby, That I.........need you I need you now even more, oh yeah, I ....need you, I need you now, even more oh yeah, I ....need you, I need you now, even more oh yeah, I ....need you, I need you now, even more John Derek Hamilton August 2, 2017

Another beautiful write my friend, well it s so sad when we only have one person in our lives and he/she left us, every second remind us of their presence, every second we miss them, feel their absence but their s nothing we can do, just cry and cry and believe me forgetting someone especially when they were once the biggest part of your life is impossible, one more thing, what s up with the word chorus, I notice it in your poems,

Thanks Faraz these are song lyrics, not just poems, they will have music and vocals put to them, so they have instructions, like chorus is repeated various times, it's the hook to the song, the verses are not repeated typically in a song! Thanks for you query!

John, this one reminds me of a famous pop song but the title and tune have gone out of my mind. Did you think of a certain song while writing this one too? You are so good at this kind of thing!

Most of what I write is inspired by music I like, although usually I don't stick strictly to a song, but the rhythm and cadence, is what I follow. Thanks for the read.

That's like putting on the brakes at 70 and coming to a full stop. The separated rhyme of "I try to pick myself up....off the floor" and "too many steps to the door" are wonderful. They show just how depressed this man has become. Charlie's eyes mirrored my own on that great line. Wowser, John.

Hi Lin, great comment, like you, I like it when the comment says specifically what the reader liked. Yeah I like that separated rhyme too, this one flowed quickly and easily, that's a good sign.
