I Need My Grandma Heart Now
Give me my grandma heart early please.
I am but twelve summers old, but I know
I need her patience and her willingness
To put up with teasing without getting angry.
I need my calmness, and my understanding.
I need my appreciation for all people,
No matter their behavior or angry loud ways.
I need my grandma heart now please.
Surrounded by people who do not seem to care,
Who upset and anger me in a variety of ways,
I am asking for my grandma heart today, to have
wisdom and strength to face my seventh grade peers
Why are they eager to taunt each other?
To make their classmates miserable and sad?
Give me my grandma heart this second, so I can stand up
And make them stop, with my wise calm manner.
Too late.
Here they come.
Drat!
