I Met You In a Darkened Room

I met you in a darkened room. A room where I would cry and cry. My heart was laying on my bed, daily I wanted to die. I tried to strangle my life away, then I met you in my darkened room. I met you in my deep insides, the cobwebs were thickened by my unwanted lies, the deceit in my heart, and the pain that choked out this life. I met you in my secret place, one that I tried to embrace. I let myself go into a mesmerizing haze, while the people around me tried to find me in the maze. I met you in this darkened room, where I thought light could not consume. Then a bright light took over my sight, and I became unhardened, life no longer seemed like a war to fight.
