I Loved You First

So, tell me wisely, why I loved you first. I never thought that you could once love me. With all the weight and measures there to see, My visions of the best, was of the worst. To risk my hear would be to let it burst, Or aimlessly fall to an endless sea. A loveless slab of stone all it would be. A heart of stone granted a pain to curse. You gave your love to me without a sigh Now our love shall be as an endless thirst. And let us not glance back at when or why For with the prize there are no tears to cry. So, tell me wisely, why I loved you first. True love is won by those who dare to try.
