One thing I know for sure is thoughtout my life, HE has been there. Many times to comforth me, to carry me or to let me know that HE will never leave.
I KNOW HIM
HE sat on a stoop as I passed; this OLD MAN.
HIS EYES are on me;
I do not know HIM.
HE told me to "GO HOME BEFORE THE RAIN".
One drop of rain touches my face as I enter my door.
Morning, the storm has passed.
A feeling of warmth surrounds me.
Still, I see the OLD MAN sitting on the stoop.
HE told me to "GO THE OTHER WAY TO WORK",
I don't know why, but I listened.
No one is at work, a fire, blazing.
I passed this OLD MAN this evening;
HIS EYES ARE ON ME; my eyes are on HIM.
HE Smiles, I smile;
I look into HIS Eyes; HE looks into my eyes;
and at this moment, I KNOW WHO HE IS.
