I Know, This Is Just About, As Good As It Gets I walk forest paths because they are my best choice Find the calm by hearing Mother Nature's true voice. With eyes clear I see fish flop, lake water glisten I view Nature's paintings, to its music listen. As welcomed sun renews my newly stirred blood I wade the low streams, feeling their cool, oozing mud. As clouds above move in to give the needed shade I marvel at this tapestry Nature hath made. Trekking on to highest of bright green forested hills Looking down, lakeside beauty, its many thrills. I feel calming breeze as Nature enters my veins I have left behind dark world and its many stains. As red sun cries out that it is about to set I know this is just about as good as it gets. Robert J.
