I Have Lost You

I Have Lost You
As I look at your photograph upon the wall
A young handsome man with a smiling face
Which of the happier times, I do then recall
But now gone forever in Gods eternal grace
I have lost you
You are in life, no more

So sad when people die young. Well penned though.

Hello Indiana, This short free verse of yours captures (for me) a riveting image of photograph on the wall that you're writing of. Great lead-off with this!! I've lived for a while and long enough to see photos of departed loved one and old friends with whom I can no longer talk and discuss things. I sometimes wonder what they might tell me if they could speak from the photo about what's gone on with them after all of the years since their departure. Enjoyed this one!! Cheers, Gary
