I Hate You Why Dont You Leave
I hate you why don’t you leave?
Her husband of seven years stared at her.
What had he done?
Who was this woman?
Where was the great girl he had married?
The kind, empathetic, listener?
When was the last time he had been heard?
What did I do? He asked.
He was a gentle man.
His voice was not raised.
It actually was a shelf above a whisper.
Just get out of here! You make me sick!
He felt sad, remembering their early days.
When they could not keep their hands off each other.
Are you still here?
What are you waiting for?
I want you out.
He finally packed a bag and left.
“He was worthless,” she tells others.
“He left me for no reason”,
because she had forgotten to listen to her own words.
