I Felt. ( Written In 1989.)

Hello my fair weather friend, nice to see you again. Lost the gleam in my eye, felt my soul had died. Felt my anger turn to rage, Felt I was once again in a cage. Felt my heart get torn in two, And around me was no you. I wanted to run and hide, Instead sat alone and cried. I felt no power in my hands, Felt as if I was sinking in the sand. I shaded my eyes from the bright sun, And spoke to no one. Then you fell, To you I have so much to tell. I know you`ll only stay a while, but my friend you made me smile. I know I will fill you on your next passing, For my love of rain is ever lasting.
