I Face Reality Collaboration
An early riser, I once was—
a dynamo chockfull of verve.
Well, that was then and this is now.
I’ve changed a lot, as you’ll observe.
I’m told that dawn still starts each day,
but I don’t see it anymore.
I once sipped coffee at sunrise,
but this is now; that was before.
Some people rise at dawn because
they want to; some, because they must.
I don’t want to; I don’t have to.
To urge me to would be unjust!
