I Embrace My Flaws
I am not perfect but I embrace my flaws
for my life has been a ravaged-garden
and my soul has been broken many times
I have been lost among nameless faces
but I am a rolling stone, a survivor
and time after time have repaired the cracks
within me with golden thread
like a Kintsugi artist
using gold liquid
making the broken beautiful again
for something cracked and shattered
still has a beauty worth saving
each flaw, each crack is a labyrinth of my history
and each fragmented piece allows the light in
oh, I have known defeat at times
known great suffering
but, I have found strength to climb from the depths
changing my story
transforming the broken parts of me into beauty
oh yes, there are scars on the roadmap to my soul
and though my life is weather-stained with tears
I drink from the deep blue sky
