I Do Need You So Lord, Why
I DO NEED YOU SO LORD, WHY?
I do need you Lord because I’m in fear
of the killing and anger today.
I think of the lost lives and break into tear.
Many have wandered astray.
I do need you Lord because I’m alone.
In life you’re my trusted friend.
Yours is the framework that holds fast my home.
Against enemies you defend.
I do need you Lord because you’re in charge.
All things happen as you will.
You handle the problems both small and large
as you word says “Peace be still.”
I just need you Lord for more 'whys' than can say.
Above all, I ask your mercy each day.
