Hope
Since Prometheus stole from Zeus the fire
Hope is hiding at the bottom of a chest
Dig deep, to Hope we all can aspire
Pandora could hear, but with the ability to listen was not blessed
The warning from Zeus she ignored she opened the gift he gave
Hope is hiding at the bottom of a chest
Curiosity over took Pandora, the evils of the world she released on all
Her despair that was there for all to see, she was in dire disgrace
Hiding in Pandora’s Box waiting, was Elpis, or Hope, no matter how small
This tiny thing just waiting, search for it with fervour, there is always a trace
It may be Hope or expectation but like the mustard seed, watch Hope grow
Her despair that was there for all to see, she was in dire disgrace.
Think of little Hope, sitting at the bottom of the chest and see her glow
Zeus did not blame Pandora he knew that she would peep in
It may be Hope or expectation but like the mustard seed, watch Hope grow
There is no worth in blame for life’s woes, evils and the sin
Since Prometheus stole from Zeus the fire
Zeus did not blame Pandora he knew that she would peep in
Dig deep, to Hope we all can aspire
