Honesty Rises
Misty gray skies are only a disguise
In these passing moments to be
As if hope skipped away with the sun
Can’t there be trust with good reason?
Easy, simply, knowing the sun will return
Because your words are genuine
How easy it can be to live in love
With an open heart in simple ways
When honesty rises with each sunrise
Shining bright enough to last through
Anything, everything, everlasting
Storms will rumble around outside
Without ever destroying what is within
The strongest ride the storms together
When love is giving based on sacrifice
Sharing colors of every beautiful shade
In waves of kisses across the expanse
Of an ocean pulled not by the moon, but us
