Being Homeless

It's morning
In my car
Windows thick with frost
I need a bathroom
Use the bottle
Sneak into the local pool
And have a shower
My sign is on a piece of cardboard
NO MONEY, need food
I sit in the grocery parking lot with my sign
Until they tell me to leave
I was given a bottle of coke and bread
I eat and figure out my next strategy
Everyday is the same
Until my car is gone
I'm cold, hungry, wet and so very, very alone
