Holding On To Dreams
Hard to believe
But I was young
Just like you
Once
I had my whole life in front of me
And I thought dreams just happened
I thought it would always be easy
I really believed
That life would turn out great
Wasted years, useless heartaches
But now I know
Life doesn’t just “turn out”
Dreams don’t just “happen”
If you don’t hold on
If you don’t believe
One and one
Your dreams slip through your fingers
Until life seems hardly worth living
Yes I was young once
Just like you and if I had it all to live again
I would fiercely hold on to
Each and every one of my dreams
And let absolutely nothing
Stand in the way of living them
‘Cause that’s what makes life worthwhile
