Helpless - Kyrielle
She lies there as though asleep
In her own world, dark and deep
Why can't I reach that terrible place
Why do I feel helpless, losing face
She hit her head when she fell
What happened only she can tell
Now she lies quietly in her own space
Why do I feel helpless, losing face
I am the one who should make her whole
Bring her back from her dark soul
In my arms I hold you, a sisters embrace
Why do I feel helpless, losing face.
Is that a flicker I see in your eye
Is the light of life returning, I sigh
these sad moments wish I could replace
Why do I feel helpless, losing face
