Heavenly were days when our minds were like Mom's fresh linen hung to dry in the breeze. At her knees we scribbled in our notebooks. Clean sheets fluttered and she -our angel – smiled. Picture Number 1 Nov. 24, 2020 for Eve Roper's Double Tetractys 6 Poetry Contest

Andrea, you picture is as tender and delicate as sun dried sheets. I can hear their "flutter" and smell their freshness. In the summer I still dry towels outside in the sun. Beautiful memories! Congratulations on your first place win!

I remember those days, miss all that, but family broke up and chaos ensued. So childhood for me was bittersweet.

Sweet and nostalgic. Hanging clothes to dry was such a part of growing up, all the neighbors did it. I never see it anymore. Lovely thoughts on motherhood. Best wishes to you for this poem ~ John
