Hawaii To Maine--Another Episode
We left here when I was a kid
Six thousand miles, we had lived
I swapped the trickle of coarse beach sand
For a dying snowflake in a glowing hand
Kids thought of me as being different
I thought they're all the same, ignorant
I did what I could, it was rewarded with good
Got memories at school and my neighborhood
Sadly, it was short-lived for us, during that time
Since dad was done, it was nineteen sixty-nine
Mom was fine, being there attending a church
I made friends and held a skunk that didn't squirt
Sunny Hawaii, we flew to the cloudiness of Maine
People there and here were basically, the same
...For we live on a sphere
...Gravity keeps us here
...It's just a matter of time
...Heaven will make us fine
