Have Always Been Myself
All my life I am quiet,
Always thinking, imagining.
All my childhood I am calm and silent,
Always an imaginative intellectual.
All my youth I am strong when I stand on my own,
Always deep down wanting more than being such a loner.
All through my adolescence I strived stubbornly,
Always growing-up at my own pace.
All this life of mine so far I've thought and learned,
Always holding onto You because I often felt alone, but all one with You.
All my life, like everyone else I hold insecurities yet so content,
Always talking to myself, for I embrace myself for being different.
