God Is With Us
GOD IS WITH US
They say God is with us, all you have to do is ask
So I thought Ok, lets put the big man to the task
Not to be too greedy, I asked God for half a brick
Just enough for myself & Mooch dog my side kick
Just woke up to half a brick outside my front door
Not actually sure here if God really knew the score
But half a brick is half a brick, best not to waste it
So on down the road with Mooch dog my side kick
Came across a jeweller's, it's window full with gold
Everything in it was half price, but never ever sold
I thought I have half a brick here, lets not waste it
Lobbed it at the window, grabbed in, then we split
Me and the Mooch dog ran like 'ell until we dropped
Then we pawned it all in, at another jeweller's shop
Me and the Mooch dog never before, had it so good
Even left a donation at the church down in the hood
Home to put the heating on, oh boy was that a joy
With Mooch dog settled in, with his new doggie toy
The jeweller never lost out, he got his insurance pay
See God is with us all if only in such an unusual way
"Half a Brick" = £500
