Giving Thanks For 2015

Showing gratitude for my life has always been a priority for me...
Years come and years go with in a blink of an eye
Tick tock, grandfather's watch goes round and round
a few different things that I thought I would try
as the motions of a clock had a beautiful sound.
Waking up every morning with a cup of coffee
checking my emails and read the newspaper
see, my daily routines that used to exhaust me
turned out they have an importance much greater.
Once I turned to the Lord with much humility
On bended knee waiting for divine insight
“Oh, Lord what importance have you given me?”
Suddenly, clarity in my mind appeared eyesight.
Pictures and flashes of my family fellowship
little Joey laughing with smiles so bright
all the loved ones with whom I have a relationship
warm feelings and wisdom, it would be alright.
So much has happened in two thousand and fifteen
gatherings, date nights and a baby little niece
marvelous visions have finally been seen
the night time ending with joy and peace.
Oh, such a year to look back and recall
favorite movies and momma's french toast
grander memories and nothing too small
and the love of the Lord matters the most.
