Furry Love

As a child my furry love was everything, everyday he loved to play with me. I dressed him up and he would look so silly, he never said no he just played along. Out doors we would go, we would play for hours in our play house. We were the best of friends, until we moved and left him behind. Two hearts were broken forever, mine and my beloved furry friend. "Many animals come and go but only one or two are extra special." Date: 11/3/2019 Writing Challenge, November- Some Kind of Love Sponsor, Dear Heart - Wiishkobi Ode

This is such a sad read for me. As a child you had no say in the matter and neither did I but as I grew up I let everyone know that animals feel love too and they feel heartbroken and abandoned when they are left behind because it is no longer convenient to keep them. My pets are family to me and they go where I go. Great write my friend. God Bless, JB

Thank You for reading and writing. Life can be very sad. I cried for days. When we got moved my dad promised me any toy I wanted. I only wanted my dog. The day came when he made me go to the toy store to get a new toy. I went but did not want anything. After a long time he bought me something even though I did't want it. A toy was not going to replace my love that was left behind....

I am on the verge of moving from apartment to house with yard Paula, and I was only discussing with my daughter last night, which way to go, pedigree new puppy, or Rescue. Have decided Rescue an older dog and a puppy. Can't bear the thought of one being on their own without a familiar friend. Our furry friends must always be taken care of, with love, kindness and respect. That is what they gift to us unconditionally and so regularly that love and trust abused and they are left forgotten. Beautiful poem. x

beautiful story below Paula... did you mean rainbow book, I am not sure what a rainbow bridge is, but sounds especially Light filled, love it. I do believe in Angels. Wholeheartedly. There are the Archangels and I do strongly believe our deceased loved ones are always with us, guarding and guiding. I know it is heart wrenching when we lose a much loved pet, they become our family as well, if we love them and care for them, like we do our children and friends. They watch over us while we are here and they are transported to the next life. All creatures have souls, or life essence (I don't know how one could ascribe a soul to a shark - but if a whale has a soul, and a dolphin has a soul, then a shark and a snake have a soul of some sort.... not just humans. It does give one paws (oops, I meant pause) to think about a myriad of complexities about life and death and the hereafter. L x

My last angel was an Easter gift (Rescue). She was one in a million. She took part of my heart the day she left. I hope she is in heaven so I can see her again. Some people believe in this & some do not. I was give a rainbow bridge about animals in heaven. Sure pray it is true. Both names sound great. I would say see your new angel & then the name will come. Good Luck.....

Your words are so true, Paula. We've had many pets in our family, some more special than others. But the one I had as a child still holds a special place in my heart. Thank you for refreshing the memory :) ~Mark

Thanks for your note. Glad it was a wonderful memory for you. Yes, many animals do not like to dress up. As a child, it was great. It was like he was a real baby.
