Poetry is my friend, giving me a voice Releasing my emotions on paper, comforting me Encouraging me to be who I am A support in the opposing waves through life Leading me to see everything around me Created by God, as I use this gift God gave to me When there are troubled times, poetry saves me If my words can make a positive difference, I will have properly shared my gift with others - As fulfillment reigns over me - Heidi Sands 2/22/19 Placed 1st in the Poetry and ME Poetry Contest
